📦 What to Expect on Hot Tub Delivery Day
Your no-stress guide from the team at Polar Springs Hot Tubs
The big day is here. You’ve picked your model, set your delivery date, and now you’re counting down the hours until your hot tub arrives.
At Polar Springs Hot Tubs, we want delivery day to feel more like Christmas morning than a construction project — and the secret is knowing exactly what to expect (and how to prepare).
Here’s your complete guide to what really happens on hot tub delivery day — whether you're in Brockville, Kingston, Cornwall, or anywhere in between.
🗓️ Before We Arrive: Final Prep Checklist
To make delivery smooth and safe, here are a few things you’ll want ready before the truck rolls in:
✅ Clear Access Path:
Minimum 40" wide for most tubs ( We can work with under 40" just reach out to us so we are all prepared)
No sharp corners, stairs, or tight turns
Remove gates, obstacles, or fence panels if needed
Note Overhead clearance (trees, eaves, power lines)
✅ Solid Base:
Concrete pad, deck, or properly compacted gravel base must be installed and cured/dried
We cannot place your tub directly on grass or dirt.
✅ Electrical Prep:
For 220V spas: Have your licensed electrician run power and install the GFCI disconnect box before delivery or after delivery.
For 110V plug-and-play models: A standard outdoor outlet is fine — we’ll help you test it. A dedicated circuit provides optimal performance.
✅ Water Source:
You’ll need a nearby garden hose for fill-up
📷 Pro Tip: Snap a few “before” pictures — the transformation is worth documenting!
🚚 When We Arrive: The Drop-Off Experience
Here’s what happens once our delivery team shows up:
Meet & Walkthrough
We’ll greet you, walk the access path, confirm the base is ready, and double-check the planned location.Unload & Positioning
Your hot tub arrives upright on a spa dolly or delivery sled. With care and muscle, we’ll wheel it into place, maneuver around corners, and gently lower it onto your base.Cover, Steps & Accessories
We’ll place the cover on the tub, set up any accessories (like steps or lifters), and make sure everything looks showroom-worthy.
⚠️ Things We Don’t Typically Do (But Can Help You Plan For)
To keep your spa safe and your property damage-free, our delivery crew usually doesn’t:
Remove fences or cut through landscaping
Lift hot tubs over obstacles without a crane (but yes, crane delivery is available — just ask)
Wire or install electrical components (that’s your electrician’s job)
Fill the hot tub
If you need extra help prepping — from concrete to crane — Polar Springs Hot Tubs can connect you with trusted local contractors.
🔌 What Happens After Delivery?
Once your tub is filled and powered on, you’ll:
Heat the water (usually takes 8–12 hours depending on temperature & model)
Add your first chemicals (we’ll give you a quick start kit)
Run the jets, test the water, and get soaking
And yes — we’re available 7 days a week for questions after delivery. Text, call, or email any time.
🧼 Your First Soak Starts with Confidence
We’ve delivered thousands of hot tubs — and we’ve seen it all. The smoother the delivery, the faster you’ll be soaking. And with Polar Springs, you’re not just getting a hot tub — you’re getting support from real people who care.
